Occupational Therapy in South Tenerife

The adult occupational therapy service is designed to help individuals improve their ability to perform daily activities independently and satisfactorily. This service is ideal for adults facing physical, cognitive, or emotional challenges due to injuries, chronic illnesses, disabilities, or mental health disorders.

Through a detailed assessment, our occupational therapist identifies areas where the patient faces difficulties, such as mobility, self-care, household tasks, work, or leisure. Based on this assessment, a personalised intervention plan is developed, which may include strengthening exercises, adaptation techniques, environmental modifications, and the use of assistive devices.

The goal of occupational therapy is to maximise the patient’s independence, improve their quality of life, and facilitate their participation in activities that are meaningful to them. Additionally, the therapist works on educating the patient and their family, teaching them strategies and practical solutions to overcome daily challenges and promote autonomy at home and in the community.

This service is also available for children and adolescents.
